Wow, that sounds like something I could stand to attend. A couple of my knives are getting to the point where they need sharpening. I have honed them to death, but they are OLD (and i am probably doing it wrong–yeah, yeah, “that’s what she said”).
Of course, I will be writing a thrilling paper and/or helping you move instead.

I’ve actually spent a bit of time looking around to find cats with skills that can sharpen my knives. Now I dunno how much difference it actually makes how skilled the sharpener is but, I feel better for my knives knowing that someone ostensibly trained by ninjas is sharpening them…and it ain’t too much more $$$ than the event you mention…
Hm. Perhaps this whole knife sharpening thing should be one of my next posts…

From what I’ve heard, professional knife sharpeners are like hair stylists - they are not all equal. You gotta go in and axe a lot of questions and make sure they are knowledgeable and experienced. I’ve heard nothing about good things about Broadway Panhandler and their sharpening skills.

I went to Broadway Panhandler today. I wrote about it, too. I don’t like their attitude AT ALL.
